Mr. Junaid Ahmed Baig has over 29 years of experience in the power generation sector, including 12 years of international exposure in the Middle East, Australia, Europe, and Malaysia. He holds an ME in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Systems and is a certified TUV Functional Safety Engineer (FSEng). Junaid’s leadership is strategic and collaborative, underpinned by principles of openness, honesty, and fairness.
Since joining CPGCL as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Junaid Ahmed has played a pivotal role in maintaining financial stability, leading outsourcing initiatives for O&M, and enhancing operational efficiencies. His strategic vision focuses on cost optimization and sustainability. He aspires to mentor emerging leaders and champion green energy initiatives, aiming for a long-term impact of operational excellence and continuous growth within CPGCL.
Chief Engineer / Technical Director
Mr. Saeed Ahmed Shaikh serves as the Chief Engineer and Technical Director at Central Power Generation Company Limited (CPGCL), bringing over 32 years of experience in electronics, control, and instrumentation. He began as a Junior Engineer and has steadily advanced to a senior leadership role. Mr. Saeed Ahmed holds a B.E in Electronics from N.E.D University, Karachi, and an M.A in Economics, complementing his technical expertise with strategic insights. He has also completed specialized training in Ovation DCS from China, reinforcing his depth of knowledge in advanced control systems.
HE is known for his collaborative and innovative approach, ensuring meticulous planning and effective project execution. Among his career highlights, he successfully led the major overhauling of a 210 MW steam turbine, showcasing his technical acumen and leadership. His commitment to excellence has been recognized through various commendations, including an honorarium for his outstanding contribution to a Diesel Generator project.

His experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of HR strategies tailored to the power generation industry, enabling him to effectively align human capital with organizational goals.
